Shanghai Sunshine Rehabilitation Center is a modern and comprehensive public rehabilitation institution. Its business mainly involves medical rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, social rehabilitation and educational rehabilitation. In 2007, it was unveiled by Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, and Hui Liangyu, Vice Premier of the State Council.

Shanghai Yangzhi Rehabilitation Hospital (Shanghai Sunshine Rehabilitation Center) is the city's first medical insurance designated rehabilitation specialist hospital, the first batch of occupational injury insurance rehabilitation designated institutions, and the city's standardized rehabilitation base for physicians. There are now 300 beds, featuring neuro-rehabilitation, bone-wound and sports-medicine rehabilitation, children's rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. It has domestic first-class treatment levels in the fields of hemiplegia, paraplegia, fracture, cerebral palsy in children, and scoliosis in adolescents. Adhering to the modern rehabilitation concept of "full rehabilitation", the center implements a "team service" working mode, with various treatment methods, intervention in early rehabilitation, improvement of physical and mental dysfunction, reconstruction of life skills and social adaptability, and other areas with strong strength.
